Over the past five years we have watched the civilization of new eden grow around us. We have seen the fleets of hundreds turn in to fleets of thousands, and the myriad of isolated conflicts drift into vast struggles between opposing power blocs.

This is not a complaint, I look out upon our foes and see so much to admire in the organization and orchestration of the largest forces ever assembled in online gaming. This is the story of the lengths of which a small group can and will go to survive in that world, without changing their nature or purpose.
